All depends if they open up an extra part of the mountain, if not I see over crowding Neutral

But the golf will be good!

The owners of Ulen are concentrating their efforts on Vitosha and other projects, so do not expect major investment in their cash cow (bansko) for the foreseeable future.

To clarify the earlier post, their is an intention of a second gondola, however this is not a matter of urgency for the shareholders as mentioned in my earlier post. It will be several years before this is a reality, and depending on their other projects.

Davecanski, my employers are contracted by the shareholders for one of their other projects.

Thanks Snowy they have been talking about a second gondola for years and another 250 km of Piste. Thats all talk where are the facts ??? I have to admit though tha the new runs at Chalin Valog are some of the best on the mountain and are so so quiet as is the run leading to them from Shiligarnika.

You can already see that they are opening up another mountain to the right of the current one as they have already built a lift and you can see where there cutting the run through the trees. Surely there not just going to open 1 run on that side and leave it at that?

Adz are you a troll ? that lift has been there for years and is not used due to the high avalanche risk. It would be good to see plenty of runs on that side but the greens are dead against it.

Dobrinishte is going to be opened up with 20kms of runs and another part between Bansko and the Pirin golf course has started (by Balkanstroy) which should yield 50kms of pistes. Both build on existing ancient single drag lifts. Both places are approved, financed and underway but the bad news is that both are being created as a method of selling thousands of additional apartments. I can't see the logic of a second gondola as the queues are only bad three weeks of the season. By the way, ...

I can't see the logic of a second gondola as the queues are only bad three weeks of the season. By the way, the market seems to have finally understood that there is no money to be made renting apartments and the sales have slowed dramatically. There will be some who fancy a cheap ski apartment for their personal use and this will form the basis for any future sales IMHO. Apparently even the Pirin golf and country club is only 50% sold.
