Sofia is worth a visit! But te bus is 3.5 hours each way, but only costs £4.

We just came from Sofia and if you enjoy travelling it is worth the journey.

A piece of advice, when you get to Sofia taxis are literally 10x chaeper than Bansko (about 15p per KM), but make sure you use OK Taxis and use the meter - you will lose it out if you negotiate

When there head for the center, eating and drinking is chaeper than Bansko.

Sofia is class, go to the HAPPY restaurants, you can get a 3 course meal that is very good food for just a couple of quid.
Well worth a walk about. Much safer than walking about in a UK city too.
