Hi new to this
have been playing around on the dry slopes over the summer and am looking to try out the real thing
any surgestions where, and when is best to go
All down to personal choice Jack. Best time would be Jan onwards if you want wild nightlife then Pamporovo or Borovets if you want more tradtional then Bansko. As a beginner then I would go for Pamps or Boro. Just have a look at the brochures if you see any hotels you like try ssking on here to see if anyone has stayed and if ii gets a good report. Enjoy
hi
went to borovets last year, i am a british ski instructor mostly teaching learners and would not go any where near the bulgarian ski resorts again, not suited to first timers so change to la thuile in italy
dont no what your talking about snarfacus, went first time to bansko and had a great time. some bit are a little challenging, but you learn a lot faster when you have to push yourself a bit.
Hi snarfacus...
Good resort by all accounts, a couple of little niggles, minimum red to ski back to the village and Turin airport,
Don`t dismiss BG though, Bansko offers reasonable piste for beginners and a decent level of instruction, at least a beginner won`t be confronted by a mogul run anywhere in resort and the ski road back to the village is a real confidence builder...
