where to go

Hi
We are a family of first time skiiers. We have heard that Bulgaria is good but have no idea where to go. We will have up to five daughters with us aged between 13 and 21, depending on how many decide to come. Somewhere that offers some nightlife but where you can also avoid it would be good and will cater for both camps - us and them! We hope to go in February next year.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks.

re: where to go

pamps would be good, excellent ski school some nice easy slopes to build your confidence and bars and resturants to suit all tastes, two good hotels are the perelik and the mourgavets both very central and near the first stop for the ski bus, also linked by a tunel so you dont have to go outside if you dont want to bars and resturants in and between both of them.

re: where to go

Although I am a Bansko freak I would agree with Sam on this for first time skiers.

re: where to go

I totally agree Pamps will meet your needs, you can party while the children sleep Booze Booze Booze Tuition is good, and you will soon master the green runs. february is a good time to go but can be busy at half term.

re: where to go

I think it more likely it will be the girls partying whilst WE sleep! The older ones, anyway.
Thanks for your input. Any more opinions are very welcome although it looks like Pamps for us at the moment.

re: where to go

I agree that Pamps is good but Borvets is also good for first timers. There is an excellent nightlife with lots of restaurants in the main street for you to drink and relax in while your girls can go party in the Buzz bar Very Happy

re: where to go

Any suggestions re accommodation? Somewhere fairly handy to stuff but not too noisey, and clean would be a good starting point. Hotel preferable.

re: where to go

If going to Borovets try the Rila, or if you want a hotel which is less busier/smaller try the Iglika Palace/Villa's

re: where to go

Staying at the mourgavets ensure you get a back room the front rooms can be noisy from the new english bar across road till 4 a.m.
