by no means an expert, but tignes is great. You could always try one of the other bulgarian resorts

St Anton Austria - fab if your strong intermediates. Look on the ski club of Great Britain website it has very good resort guides and reviews.

Definitely Austria, it has such charm and fun Alpine playfulness. Very Happy

Flaine/ grand massif

Highish 1600m, loads of runs, one of the best snow records in France, loads of snow cannons, family atmos. Good all round ability range.

The only thing you will pay more for is beer and food. Not overly though.

Loads of cheap flights into Geneva and transfer is about 1hr away.

I will probably head back to Austria next year, Mayerhofen or Kaprun/Zell am See, I really enjoy Austria and I can speak the lingo.

Been to Canada twice, for a week each time, with no travelling problems and you still get to ski 6 full days. If I remember correctly we made up some hours going out because of the time difference, and although it was a 7 night holiday we left the UK on a Sat but arrived back on Sunday, again because of the time difference. The holiday itself may cost more than a European one but the apre ski cost's are about the same as in the UK, so much cheaper than Austria etc.
