Only done Pamporovo and Bansko - but if I am honest I remember Pamps as great holidays - the slopes, the snow (that helped!), the pubs and the craic were just far better than the times I spent in Bansko.

Just a personal view of course - all depends on what you want from the holiday I guess

Very Happy

Been to Borovets and Bansko. If you want plenty of pubs and bars close at hand go to Borovets, you can ski right up to the Rila hotel.
If you want great skiing/boarding go to Bansko, the infrastructure is probably the best in Europe, and there's plenty of off piste stuff for the more adventurous.
Have done most of Europe over the last 17 years, and Bulgaria is without doubt the best value for money, even if the skiing isn't as varied. The way I see it, you can only ski one run at a time!!

re: which is your favorite bulgairan resort?

cheers for the response guys

true tomski, very true. been to bansko a couple of years ago and going again this year. it just crossed my mind that maybe i should try one of the others. loved bansko for both the boarding and also the beautiful old town and people. may try borrovets but i dont like the sound of the night. i'll have to give it a go at some point though. curiouse about pamps but a lot of people say its good for beginners which doesnt sound too great.

night life in pamps is great everyone was really friendly had a fab time there but for skiing bansko is better although I am thinking of borovets this year seems a reasonable amount of runs and suppose to be a good crack too

re: which is your favorite bulgairan resort?

Pamps for me has it all, but if you want to ski all day then its probably not the right place, what it does have though is character its fab. And its not just for begginers Razz
