re: which resort to choose for guarantee snow in late march?
robo - how long is a piece of string? Depends who you speak too!
You would be better off researching the historical snow fall for the areas your thinking of going too and possibly looking for a long range report from the met or similar.
Just because conditions where good at any particular time for tom, dick and harry it is not advisable to go on others experience when snow fall is the issue.
Loads of snow in Boro now apparently, yet runs still closed?
No glacier in Bulgaria so ...

No glacier in Bulgaria so not 'guaranteed or snow sure'.

Bansko has had good snow end of March and into April the last few years and has just had a very heavy fall I would be fairly confident of beinmg able to ski late March.

Lapland.....sorry thats not BG
There are no guarantees but do all the research and accept that it is totally out of your control. I'd go for Borovets but only cos of first hand accounts and I love it there.
Hope you enojoy wherever you choose.

Bansko!
Only my view as seen it the past few years and it has had good snow cover late in the season/end of season. Last year I went on 5 April (having been a few weeks before in March when I usually go) as they had big dump end of March and another just before me going again. Resort empty as most tour operators finish end March - had fab snow, lovely sun, empty slopes - wonderful me thinks!!!
