xmas dinner in borovets

Has anyone ever had xmas dinner in the Rila? we were there in Feb and food wasn't brilliant so wanted to check if gala dinner will be any better when we go in 2 weeks.

Even though the food is'nt the best the hotel and facilities and location are great, and i'm guessing thats why jules re booked there.

My advice jules is book a table in the black cat thay have live music in there and the food is fab...

Don't do it dude, we went in for the xmas dinner and wish we hadn't. It was grim but we didn't know any better at the time so thought why not. Saying that the local traditional show was OK but we legged it to one of the bars as soon as we could. My advice is you'll get much better food elsewhere. We always enjoyed Frankos but I'm sure people will tell you some other places.

re: xmas dinner in borovets

We went last year for Christmas and are going back again this year. Borovets is small enough not to have to worry about the bars - just pop in them all and see which one you like best!!!!

Regarding the dinner though - definitely eat out !
