Does anyone know what the rules are regarding taking snowblades on planes? Can I get them on as hand luggage or do I have to put them in the hold?
I'm guessing there will be some kind of fee for blades....any help appreciated.
Ps I am flying with Monarch...this saturday - YIPEE!!!
Thanks all

will possibly have to pay ski carriage, you wont be able to take them in board, cant even take a nail file on these days, would be classed as a dangerous wepon. If you can get them in your suit case then go with that. otherwise book ski/board carriage.
around £30 return, depends on the company think they charge more if you wait till you get to the airport. I pack other stuff in with them not suppose to but helps protect the skis and gives you extra lug allowance.
I packed my snow blades in a soft long holdall type bag-I had to search for a bag long enough to accommodate them-my blades are quite bulky as they have conventional bindings but there was no problem -I wrapped clothes around them and checked them in as usual-avoided extra carraige payment.
