Morning All,

Sorry I didn't update you yesterday - been in London for a couple of days. Got back last night to storms at Sofia airport and had been told it was raining all day yesterday in Borovets - most beginner classes didn't ski and my other half was up on the Yastrebets 4 man and got absolutely soaked!! However, for all those waiting to come out, whilst it rained yesterday at resort level, it snowed all day at the top.....

Today the operators couldn't decide (even though they measure it for us) if it was 30cm or 40cm of fresh snow at the top, so I went for the lower level so I don't get told off for making it up!! Conditions are fantastic at the top, plenty of fresh powder and everything has been pisted. In the resort, there is about 1 1/2cm of fresh snow and pretty icy at the moment, but they are expecting it to get a bit better as the day goes on. Marky 3 is still closed...up until now, it could have been the conditions, but now we just can't work it out. There are so many rumours as to 'why' but no real reason to give you! BUT..there are rumours it is going to open - as of about 20minutes ago, it wasn't but if it does, I will get a call and update you.

The 2 blacks on the Rila side are still closed, as are Sitnyakovo 2 and 3, but Mussala pathway and Sitnyakovo Express (George's run!) are open again.

So, apart from the ones closed (above) conditions are:
Sitnyakovo Express - (BLUE) is open - still a bit icy / patchy, but much better than it has been

Rila, Rotata and Iglika drags - GOOD CONDITIONS
Martinovi 1, 2 and 3 (Rila runs) GOOD CONDITIONS

Markudjik 1, 2a and 2b are open as is the nursery slope at the top of the gondola - CONDITIONS ARE EXCELLENT
Yastrebets - all 3 slopes are open as is the fon fon and CONDITIONS ARE EXCELLENT
