We are flying out to Pamps on Sunday for the first time. We were in Banff, Canada over Christmas for our first skiing trip and absolutely loved it, so we thought we would book another week closer to home in Bulgaria. I was a little concerned that because we have only ever been to Canada before, that Pamps wouldn't live up to it, but then like you said it is a completely different place, half the price and now the snow falling I can't wait.
Where abouts in Canada are you ...

Where abouts in Canada are you going for New Year. We will try and go over Chistmas again, probably back to Banff.
what a shame your experience wasnt a good one.but can i just say that as a virgin skiier 7 weeks ago in pamps,i would not go any where else now.infact going back on saturday meeting trucker over there again and counting the hours now!proper hooked on skiing and most definately the place. !!!!!!!!!!!!
We're off to Jasper on the 27th December for 10 nights.
It'll be my third time to Jasper (a bit of a long coach ride after landing, but worth it for the scenery, the town and the piste).
We've also been to Kimberly in British Kimberly. Great for skiing/snowboarding, but there wasn't a lot to do in the evening. However this is a up and coming resort, so I would be keen to go back there in a few years time.

Part of our reason for heading out there is that we're taking our parents (nearing their 60th's) and they don't ski. Jasper does give them a lot of scope for other thing to do (walking, snow shoeing, walking on frozen rivers etc). I wouldn't recommend Pamps for a week for someone who didn't ski.
Enjoy your time in Bulgaria, it's excellent value for money!
