Make sure you give us a full report on your return YT.I would imagine it's very simular to Bulgaria but would be intreagued to hear your thoughts.

I will give a full report. Looking at the lift system for Poiana Brasov it looks like it as some excellent facilities if limited.
The ski runs are not that expansive but it will do for us. We are looking for this holiday to be a confidence booster and really improve our technical abilities.
The hotels look similar to Bulgaria but the quality internally certainly looks better than the Perelik and Bansko hotels we have stayed in before.

PP,It's also worth mentioning that if you are buying a lift pass and hiring ski's independently, in all resorts various discounts apply, and when these are taken into account the price is very similar (in some cases lower if you know where/how to ask) than the pre-paid packages. For example see

That's very true Dani and you're right to point that out, but as most travellers book through an agency my posting was more directed to them.You will love Pamporovo, and a great choice of hotel.
I have stayed at the Morgavets many many times and it is brill.
Make sure you try the pancakes, choccy brandy, karvama, and the mastika.
