Red 12 has been closed for a while, unpisted and full of moguls.... awesome 9A also closed but skiable... the only run of any value is the Challin Valog black, just not enough snow..... yet
Why do they not piste red 12 now? Plenty of snow and in doing so it will mean less foot flow over the existing runs therefore they will stand up better and be less crowded.
Too logical I guess.
9A is hardly ever open when I've been to Bansko regardless of snow - why?
Don't want to ruin it by pisting it Still could do with some more snow i guess, not covered by cannons... 9A again is not covered by cannons, is very steep but good.... still skiable if you want a challenge
Steve
On piste Mmmmmmmm??
Off piste Mmmmmmm??
it is funny
I agree it is the matter of Personal Taste.
I always said that when there is not enough even very little(few new snow flakes) seem like 5 foot deep powder.
It is all in the mind.
Enjoy whatever it is.
Just looked at the local forecast and it does not look very tasty right now.
Maybe a little later and towards the closing of the season will get BETTER.
tragic
at the same time in the Alps and closer to home, the amount of snow is becoming difficulty with daily dumps .
Local People are getting fed up and want from now until very far at the end of April snow to stop and the sun to start shining.
majority of skis you see right now on the deep slopes are with minimum 100mm in the middle and everywhere there is white and soft stuff.
That is more likely Mmmmmmmmmmm
Hahahahahahaha...... It is nice to see even a little snow, 25cm did seem like 1m... and because of that i enjoyed my days skiing Perhaps it was just in my mind, or was it ?
Colin (Mikey).. your snow reports for the Alps are becoming a bit general, obviously you live there to be able to enlighten us with local gossip, be more specific as to the actual resort or even region... do not believe everything you read on Snowforecast.com... more snow for the weekend, we might even get 7cm
I've been to the Alps quite a few times, great skiing but lacking the great atmosphere you get in all the Bulgarian resorts and........you don't pay £20 for a pizza!!
It is what it is, everyone has different priorities depending on what they want year on year
I dont want to enlighten anybody.
All I want is for the snow to finally stop chucking it down every other day so we can sit somewhere for lunch and enjoy the views, rather than non -stop swimming down in the deep stuff in all directions.Maybe we (in the western Alps ) will have to start praying for clearer skies.
