There are plenty of poisonned cases in Bulgaria from quick and fake rakia or food not fit for purpose.

Mr M, there is nothing you can tell me about Bulgaria that would shock or surprise me, i've witnessed or heard most things there, tho i may add i've never had (touch wood) stomach issues ;-)If your going to give Mastika a go also try Mentha (the green 1) Bulgarian Viagra apparently.

It is nice to see knowledgeable people on the forum.For me trout, local Zelnik, potato only dishes, banitsa and locally made yogurt and sheep Cheese are Real treat.
