Cheers everyone, Its all booked now at the end of march going to stay at snowplough apartments. eefa how far is walking to town and gondola?Hope there is still snow when i go on the 26th, anyone been then or later and still had snow?

also considering the snowplough aprts. in bansko for a 1st time skiing/boarding trip in feb. two questions - a) is it a hike from the apts to the gondola, b) i have boarded once before (but some years ago now), my bf hasn't tried either - any opinion on whether we are better to board or ski?

hi paulwe jsut got confirmation through this morning for week of 18th feb. got flights through alitalia (short stopover in milan) to sofia for around £130 each. booked snowplough apts with 3 days snowboard school all incl. (and 6 days lift pass, board hire etc) thru bulgariaski.com for 551 euro. so works out at sthg like £450 each

I stayed in the Snowplough apts last week new clean place our 1 bed apt was on 2 levels. A double bedroom upstairs and i was on the sofa bed on the lower level the sheet was only a single !!!!! The temp was set at 66 deg so it was just right. Shower soaked the whole bathroom floor. Apt was located at the far end of a building site road ok as it was frozen once it thaws it wont be any fun.
7 min walk to old town 12 min to gondola.
Lift pass £18 a day £5 hire gear, Pay for both at same time ...

Gondola takes foot passengers £5 return atmosphere on the mountain and in the town was brill.
Skiing was very good for all levels i think.
I will definatly be returning, the oldie worldie Mehana bars restaurants is what seperates this from the other resorts. :
