yes but the beginners already have a ski area albeit busy for themselves. Its the rest of the mountain that get s clogged upa t peak periods. Granted the 2nd gondola will relieve the queues at the beginning and end of the day but this won't improve the skiing for intermediate and above on the mountain. It sounds like alot of money being invested without a long term goal in sight.

Also with the mid station being lower (with the beginner ski area) this will shorten the season for the beginners.

Interesting! Hmm - I thought if they put another gondola in that it would may be go to a different area (may be a new ski area?) and not the same place. Does seem a little daft to have 2 running alongside? I quite agree with what Dave says. All very well doubling the capacity of shifting folk up the mountain but then what..... with the amount of property going up in Bansko it has been getting busier and busier. To increase the capacity to get people on the mountain is great but I really hope I don't find myself then standing in mega long queues as a result once this is in place. There must be forethought as to the outcome of such installation surely? Time will tell I guess.
