The information is accurate, it was direct from Tseko Minev.Do your reasearch to find out who this is.

The second gondola is to releive pressure on the first, which last year was struggling to cope at peak times.

This year there are no new slopes. The only other development is some of the slopes have been widend.

The long term plan is for more slopes and gondolas, however this will not happen soon, battles with environmentalists ahead!

lioke petes post,all i would say, is ..and of course gondolas go up so quickly by the time thye get planning, finance and it built oh say at least 3-5 years so dont hold your breath

That might be your experience of super borovets but Bansko is different. Planning and finance are in place.

Tseko Minev is the main share holder of First Investment Bank who also own Balkan Holidays International
( BH London/Zurich/Copenhagen/Lebanon/BH Air/BH Partners/BH Services/BH Hotels........)

As an employee of Mr Minev, i can tell you that the 2nd Gondola is still not 100% confirmed that the work wil start in 07, but fingers crossed.

As an employee of Mr. Minev, could you tell him(sorry, ask him very nicely!) not to put the next gondola alongside the current one, but to run it to bottom of Shiligarnika. This will save me a good 20mins getting to my favourite runs, and I'll avoid the couple of little bits I really don't like to ski down.
