Nice one!
Keep up the good work!
Derzai ! As we may say.
I've got some bikes waiting for me in BG and using them all the time in the summer mountaineering thanks very much for the offering. But always go up and down without aid of lifts.
I don't think in any mountain resort this bring any profit to speak of.
Neighter brings footfall into the restaurants in the summer.
Jazz festival -yes for the few days,
Down the valleys. And the flatter sections -yes, in towns -yes, around lakes yes ...

Or maybe I am very wrong as usual! Smile Wink

Most Alpine resorts with bike parks are witness to the opposite of your opinion, so yes, you are wrong Wink
The 'gravity rider' (those using lifts) represent a small percentage of the overall mtb community, but... they spend large amounts on following their chosen sport, and mountains with chairlifts and built trails are a magnet for these guys/girls... We do XC as well, here in Bansko, nearly 1500km of gps trails mapped, and there is a lot of up as well Mad but that is part of it, we also ...

Wake up to mtb Mikey, your as bad as Seko Wink

re: 3.5million for pamps

Think if you were to take Borovets as an example there summer tourism including the restaurants, activities etc etc have had a major boost since the park opened there!!

re: 3.5million for pamps

Borovets this weekend 22-24th. Borovets Open DH Cup.

220 entrants, most will bring family, family will use other activities etc etc there, hotels, restuarants - Win I think. Not every weekend is busy like this but these are examples of what is heppening in the summer.
I believe that Pamporovo will get the National downhil cup and maybe XC cup which again will bring the same ammount of numbers. This has to benefit the summers in the resorts!!

re: 3.5million for pamps

Because I see you are jumping over each other to fill us in with the many activities locally
Stevie
I have to say the following:
-You are not discovering the World!
Just one tiny Example from one proper resort for your attention(I stress this is only one of many around the proper resorts in A,CH,Fra and I):
Tignes in Ugly and expensive Smile France (place you had to leave not long ago because you are looking for better) has these nasty offers:

Tignes in Ugly and expensive Smile France (place you had to leave not long ago because you are looking for better) has these nasty offers:
Free access to whole activities ( glacier lake, ski jump into lake, water sports, multiple trampolines, Basket , horse riding, Golf,(everything with SporTignes Card)
New for this summer - free access to Bike Park and ski lifts.
And as an added bonus:
Guess what?
Proper Glacier skiing every day from 7AM direct into 3600m above sea level for a change, etc etc.
and white rafting, parasending, tandem fly and more....
Just few little things which are done during the summer in one resort.
I don't want to post more similar info about many more with even more activities.
No need really for that.
Steve, don't you just feel sorry you have shifted away and crossed the whole Continent and ending in such a mess of a place.
Look on the bright side Smile though.
You can still go back and continue life Smile
Just a joke but had to post this one.
Behind every joke though there is .....
Have a good summer and Please do not tell me that you have left all of that (as mentioned before in your posts), for Chock-a-block with activities Bansko ''The Real Center of the Mountain World''
Just speechless !
