re: A weekend in Borovets

Well, first, there are no early flights into Bulgaria. Second, the transfer by bus on the dilapidated Bulgarian roads takes so long that you might as well forget the skiing. If you get to Borovetc, that is - last year, our bus broke down on a pothole the size of a moon crater and we spent the night on the road. Would not dream of weekend skiing there, just go to France, it is just as cheap as well.

but what kind of ignorant man are you???
The flights are available the road from Sofia to Borovez is fine, was made brand new two years ago.
The buses are the same may be a bit older as these in the rest of Europe. The tour from Sofia Southern Bus station to Samokov is make in 1 hour may be 1 hour 15 min. These from Samokov to Borovez in 10 min.
