My knee has not healed as I hoped it would.
Can anyone give me advice on what exercises using aerobic machines like a cycling machine or cross trainer and or weight training. I have full access to a gym.
I have had different opinions from medical staff, in some cases different opinions from the same people at different times.
I have a hotel that I have paid a deposit towards but can cancel about 5 days before and pay £39.00 more as a cancellation fee.

Hello all
My knee has not healed as I hoped it would.
Any advice might swing the balance beween me going or not. There is also the possibility of going at the end of the season if I cannot go on the first invasion week of the 24th to 31st Jan 2015.
I really want to go on the first invasion week.
When I went on the trip to Manchester with you all from the first invasion week, I honestly expected my knee to improve.
If you know me, please feel free to send me a message through facebook.
I really do want to see you all again this January.
All the best
Rob
That knee is taking it's time to heal Over the past 18 months I have been nursing knee pain either an old rugby injury or plain old age. For support but not all the time I have been using a york sports knee support and although I take supplements have increased my Glucosamine HC1 1,000mg to 2 a day. Over the past 3 weeks I have introduced myself to Omega3 Fish Oil (Holland & Barrett) and am sure this has made a marked difference as the present time I am pain free.
Hope ...
Wow Rob,
That knee is taking it's time to heal Over the past 18 months I have been nursing knee pain either an old rugby injury or plain old age. Hope this helps as it would be a shame you are unable to get out on the 1st invasion. Unfortunately Angie, Jason, Frazer and Mason cannot make it either and GFF is nursing sciatic pain at the moment as well. But fingers crossed will meet up some time in the new year.
Anyway Nadolig Llawen have a great festive season.
Hi- as SP has said I did similar this year after and old Knee injury flared up- and its ok now- off skiing in the morning- back in October i doubted it!
Robert, without knowing the full extent of your injury it's difficult to give advice. However my suggestion would be to have a day
at one of the indoor snow domes in the UK and see how you get on. We had a lady skiing with us who was in great pain with her knee
in the evenings but as soon as she donned her gear and started skiing the pain went. Not saying the same will happen for you but it
might be worth considering.

HI Pete,
Robert has been on the last two invasions, and the summer one to the famous Firbank, although he did endanger himself by nearly falling asleep in a pizza !!
Robert,
Hope all is well mate, Just get out there, your invasion needs you!!
