the markony is a great place--have tstayed there every year for last 6 years----nice and quiet if you want a good sleep, right by the slopes, great apres ski, great staff, and only a 'cheap' (ha ha) taxi to the center if u want nightlife

good report Roz. PP must be losing it cus all piste maps have the run turning right from 3 man chair as red 5 and comes out back at the 3 man chair.

Well, as I've skied the run about 1,000 times, I think I should know exactly where it is and what it is!

The red is back behind the chairlift by about 100 yards.

PP--re-reading the post, Roz talks about a baby drag lift at the top of the run.....in this case it would be the one at the top by the OCHO restaurant, this one goes on to be the red that comes out near the three man lift start......

Yes I realise that Benson, but only the nursery slope is visable from the chairlift not the red.

As we were there and know which red we could ski on, I don't care how many 1000's of times you skiied the back blue. We all know the Pamps Piste map is almost unusable and the piste marking almost non-existent. The red we are discribing is the one where you turn immediately right after you get off the three man chair pass a small drag lift on you left and go down a piste with a big red circle that comes out at the bottom of the 3 man chair. Happy now?

sorry for any confusion chaps, but I checked the piste map, it was infact the red one, which is out of sight of the chair......
