Went to Pamporovo last season (feb/march) and went to Pas De La Casa in Andorra during 2002.
There is much more skiing to be had in Andorra and the night life was excelent, many bars and clubs. In 2002, it was also pretty cheap. Booze is much cheaper in the stores than the bars as its tax free, as are fags and electrical goods. Booze still cheap in bars compared to uk. However, i think now, when you buy a lift pass, you can ski all three. This makes for one of the biggest ski areas in Europe.
Skiing in pamorovo was much more suitable for my, at that time, beginner girfriend. Would like to go back to andorra with her in a year or so.
Off to borovets this time. Anything to say about it? not been before.
Final word: STAY CLEAR OF GATSBY BAR AND GRILL HOTEL in pas de la casa!!!!
Borovets is great defo go back when super boro is up and running. Night life great, real cheap and good atmosphere 2. Skiing is good, never had a bad day of skiing in the 4 years ive been. Looks like their having a fair bit of snow so should be great for skiing. Only bad thing I would say is be a bit careful when changing money some people in our hotel had been short changed quite a bit ,never had any probs in the 4 years ive been. Be afraid be very afraid,
Andorra in my view is crap,go to Austria (almost any where even France)but do not go to Andorra it is only for complete beginners .It has no soul, the slopes are crap and the transfer is a killer.
Andorra is only for Virgins who know no better.
Vano
been to bansko and arinsal, absolutley loved bansko, the town and people were briliant and the snow was great. one fault was that they could have looked after the slopes a bit better but i did go quite late so slight freeze thaw conditions. arinsal in comparison was dissapointing on the apres ski front, very limited. the skiiing was limited due to lack of snow but with better snow i;m sure it would be great, fun park would also bee very good i;m sure but not enough snow to be open. also went ...

all in all andorra has a wider range of slopes and better skiing.
bansko bulgaria isnt far behind on this respect. pas de la casa is supposed to have a much more lively night life than the other resorts but i would say bansko is far better for this. i would happily go back to either but have chosen bansko this year cos its generally nicer.
