Been to pas and arinsal (arinsal crap) pas ugly but great skiing and hubby loved the boarding over in Grai Rouge???? also done Pamps and Bansko much prefer Bulgaria get much better accomodation for the money and the skiing/ boarding in Bansko is great. Pamps great for beginer/Intermediate but very pretty. You wont see any trees in Pas

Friend of mine has been to Andorra lots, because they always drive. She said some of the resorts are great and some are terrible. Cant remember which ones, though! Suggest you check it out carefully!

No worries smithy, thought it would have been too much of a coincidence..! Basnsko is a great place for boarding, I've heard of too many bad times had in Andorra to warrant a visit there...

I have been to Borovets many times and have booked again for January 2008. Last year had a change and went to Pas de la Casa. The Ski Areas of andorra are now linked and have a vast ski area, provided the snow conditons are good (they wernt that great last year). I would say that skiing is better in Pas but (in my opinion) the Apres is better in Borovets - maybe thats just my own familiarity with the resort.

Ps I also stayed at the Catsby Hotel and although it was basic in the extreme, the people were friendly and the bar was lively. If you can bear youth hostel type accomodation its perfetly fine.

Hope you have a good time wherever you go :-)

re: Andorra or Bulgaria

well, like the other's say, Andorra has a killer transfer time and the slopes are a bit basic. It is the type of place you will only ever do once.

Even if they have linked the 3 resorts, it still won't compare to the Tyrol for the km's of skiiing area and the range of runs etc.

But you will still have a great time, you just probably won't go back.
