Having been to Boro twice now and the 2nd time (2weeks ago) not being happy with the worrying whether the snow would arrive, piste conditions, locals trying to rip you off and being ignorant to say the least, I think it's time for a change of venue.

I have been talking to my mates who all agree it's time to leave Bulgaria behind and go elsewhere.
Went to Livigno (Italy) over New Year.
Prices similar to Pamps but more expensive lift pass (€177 for 6 days) but you get 115kM of well looked after pistes.
Also lessons (like for like with Interski) are about 50% more expensive.
Going back again next week, they currently have over 3m of snow on the mountain.
Love Pamps but cannot rely on the snow so am prepared to pay that little bit extra.
I've been to Italy but I wouldn't go again due to being a little expensive. (I found). Don't get me wrong the place is nice and the locals friendly enough but my money would go to Austria. Better value for money and you want get better piste or off piste. Also have you thought of Andorra. I've never been but from what i've heard not to bad for money either. Don't think you'll find anywhere as cheap as Bulgaria but you do pay for what you get. Goes in roundabouts really, what are you ...
Hi
I've been to Italy but I wouldn't go again due to being a little expensive. (I found). Don't get me wrong the place is nice and the locals friendly enough but my money would go to Austria. Anyway hope this helps.
Not too bothered about it being the cheapest place in the world but at the same time 8 euro a pint is taking the piss. I'm open to all suggestions but our main priorities are of course first and foremost SNOW, looked after pistes, apres ski, reasonable prices.
Funnily I had looked at Livigno in the brochure yesterday.
Prices will be a lot higher this year because of the state of the Pound - obviously
I went to Livigno last year and it was cheaper then Pamporovo was this year but I suspect Pamporovo would have been about the same price if not cheaper last year - does that make sense
The holiday package was a bargain to Bulgeria compared to Italy and lift passes were twice as expensive in Livingno compared to Pampovoro, although their was 57 runs and 33 lifts in livigo
Advantages of Livigno ...

Advantages of Livigno was free buses every 10 minutes and fixed taxi prices, skiing was until 6ish with late night on Thursday, the runs were floodlit
What is the nightlife like in Livigno? I'm gonna mention the place to my mates and I know the nightlife question is gonna be the 1st one that gets fired at me.
Looking at going last week jan of poss 2nd week in Feb. Has there ever been an issue with the snow this time of year?
Very lively nightlife, its a duty free resort and that keeps the prices dwn.
Its not snow sure (but where is unless its a glacier resort) but as its high, village at 1850m and top lift at 3000m its record is very good.
One downside is the transfer, 4.5 hours minimum depending upon airport, coach/minibus and weather.
Check out the resort info on the Skiclub website or google livigno.
Italy about the cheapest dest in Alps and also has some v high resorts. We were in one of the smaller ones last week, glass of wine or a coffee €1. Lunch generally under €10 euro. Been to Livigno three times long transfer but excellent snow and lifts, busy nightlife. There are at least 300 resorts in Italy alone. If you want nightlife stick with whatever the tour ops have. You can go independently (Ryanair fly to lots of resorts at the foot of alps) Those resorts that you travel to ...

The dolomites are stunning and the skiing there is five star
Think Snik recommended Sauze, great skiing for mixed abilities, reasonable prices.Ive been to Courmayeur, quite up market but reasonable prices,a lot of intermediate skiing
