Thanks for the link Nudger. I just spent two hours looking at all that classic stuff for sale. The fizzer was excellent fun. I spent many hours on the side of the road decoking mine. I can top that crash Nudger. RD 125 twin, kid on a push bike pulled out in front of me I flew through the air, head first in to a block wall moved the wall 1 1/2 inches. I died on the roadside then again on the way to hospital, fortunately the defibulator worked both times(excuse the spelling) My AGV bash hat ...

Dave,We probably both benefited from the power of recovery when you're young.
Knocks and falls seem to be a bit more painful these days.
I remember my TY50P cost £300 new in 1977, and a Fizzy would have cost the same.

Had yellow and black fizzy first bike of many, excellent fun many thanks to my mum for loaning me money save getting ripped of by banks intrest charges. Great times and many scrapes maybe thats why we all love sking

I totally agree with the need to wear a helmet while riding a motorbike into a tree (illegally parked hahahaha)
I was wearing a helmet while riding my Honda TL250 Miller replica pulling away at a green light on a junction, when i was wiped out by a ford cortina that was being chased by a cop car and had come through a red light. I sustained a broken tibia and some bruising, spent two months on traction, and six months in plaster.... but my Sidi lid was unscathed thank god...

Yew might know the tree I mean.On the Birmingham trunk road where it branches towards Four Oaks. (where it leaves the Dual carriageway).
Just before the Forest pub, I swerved to avoid a barking dog and hit the tree.
Sounds painful Steve (or Nightmuffy), but I'm pleased you made a full recovery (I hope). How was the young girl who flew through the window?

The poor girl suffered, fairly typical injuries from punching her head through a windscreen... The bloke driving was drunk and only 16, the girl was 14. He also was injured, broken ribs and a broken arm supposably. The police estimated his collision speed to be above 60mph, and it was commented on had i set off with my backside on my seat (i rode stood on my pegs trials style) my injuries would have been a lot worse, if not terminal.

It does though ask the question, what end did the pursuing police think they would attain, by effectively forcing this young driver to try to get away it endangered my life and many others... and by the way, he got some community service...
