I stayed in Hotel Pamporovo from 3-10th Feb. It's fine. There were very mixed comments on this discussion board before we went, so much so that I asked to change hotel before we got there. However, I'm quite glad we didn't succeed! Eating out is very cheap so despite being on a half-board basis, we eat out every night. I just didn't like the look of the dinner on our first night in the hotel - didn't taste it - though several were eating it without any hassle. I'm perhaps a bit too fussy! We eat in the Italian Restaurant, the White Hart and the Barbecue House in Pamps itself. All were very pleasant and tasty. Admittedly, I couldn't live on it forever, but a week is certainly no problem.
With regard to keeping up to date on the snow situation, my favourite site was www.meteo.bg then click on the Plovdiv link (left hand side of screen) and then at the bottom right you'll get a choice of webcams and the one for Pamporovo is great. For weather forecast, my favourite was www.digsys.bg - click on weather and then on Pamporovo on the left hand side and they've proved exceptionally accurate with their forecast.
Just go have a ball - it's only a week! Don't expect a five star English/Irish standard, it's a five star Bulgarian standard. By the way, it's well worth having a few treatments in the spa - massages and turkish baths were a real treat after a day on the slopes when the muscles were screaming for help!
Its' brilliant! - well i dont know that cos ive never been but its bound to be good.
from what ive worked out, its got its own irish bar, its pretty big in size, and the food may be a bit on the cold side - but thats the whole resort. plus from the pictures on this site - you apparantly get a bulgarian woman sitting on your rug too?!?
