Del Boy, and everyone else, I agree its seems common sense although I've never worn one in 27 years on skis, I may well do this year!! Especially with the conditions this year! I do agree with having the freedom of choice though. As for music, I always use my iPod, but use induction tech headphones that sit on your cheek bones so not covering your ears and leaves you free to have conversations with others and clearly hear what's going on around you still. Best buy I've made in years!!

What ever happened to those hats that were filled with that special impact hardening gel. A Boarder friend of mine had one. Seemed to work and fitted the bill if you don't like a helmet.

Just put on a new post re my massive head and difficulty finding a helmet. I have just bought a Salomon Custom Air Ranger and it fits. I have spent years looking for something like this so if you are like me try one of these.

Very Happy

I wear a helmet when boarding, I also wear crash pants, knee pads, an armoured jacket and my gloves have wrist protectors. I would never tell another grown adult to wear a helmet, everyone has a right to make their own choice and like Steve said I dont believevit should be compulsary. To condone that would mean that I would have no right to complain if something I sternly objected to became compulsary. Similar to the government wasting time passing legislation on smoking in cars with children, do I think thats a bad thing to do? Of course! Do I think we should allow continual encroachment by a stealthy state into our civil liberties? Hell no!

Anyway, wear a helmet....if YOU want to! Wink

Completely agree Steve! It really scares me to see skiers and boarders with their earplugs in.
