Very sorry for the delay in posting...been very busy with work and not had a chance to post, but not sure if you want to read the updates...!!
The main positive is that it is still remaining cold, so the snow is not melting away.however there's not much more to 'shout about'!!

Hi All,
Very sorry for the delay in posting...been very busy with work and not had a chance to post, but not sure if you want to read the updates...!!

The Rila slopes are ok, but very icy - the blues are in very poor condition.
At the top, the run down from the Gondola to the Yastrebets side (Hariama) is in very poor condition, with lots of rocks / grass, however, once you hit the Yastrebets runs, they are in very good condition and it is still totally skiable all the way to the bottom - which is the route we will be taking tonight for the 'Lock-In'.
The Mussala path (albeit closed) was skiable at the beginning of the week, however it's now pretty poor and not recommended, especially if you have your own ski's!!
Markudjik 1 is still in very good condition, except for a few small bare patches at the bottom as you go towards the lift. The run down from Marky 1 to Marky 2 is very icy and rocky, although Marky 2 is in 'Okish' condition.
If you need any more info, let me know!

p.s. I know people are looking at forecast sites, but my instinct is not to trust them!! The local one's are the best and they are looking at snow around the 19th / 20th Feb at the earliest - but again, I can't confirm their accuracy!!
In your experience, if there was no snow for another two weeks coupled with higher temps, how much snow would have to fall before runs started becoming reasonably skiable again? Are we talking about a couple of dumps of 10cm plus or would the resort need sustained snow of 50cm to 1m or more?
were coming snowboarding for the first time on sat 5th feb, would you say there is more than enough snow for us to play on as were getting worried due to the lack on snow and high tempatures.
has anyone had experience with thomas cook if there is lack of snow, moving to a different resort?
don't panic, it looks like same conditions i had there last year, the beginer slopes shall be ok as they have snow machines there so theres a good base, higher temps just means it could get a bit soft then freeze up at night
as caz says the reds below gondala are good, ive always found these ok, but note no.1 wont be as good as the others as dosn't have snow machiens, take the 4 man chair to get to these, i read theres a free bus to take you from ...
hi lee
i fly out on the 5th as well

Not worried, going out on 12th to boro been 5 times before and every time we have skied even when it is warm and patchy, as Kas says will be good on yastrabets as I can see that the snow cannons are on and have been on for the past few days.
And if all else fails we will have to go to the white house all day and all the bars in Boro at night
If yasterbets are open you'll be fine, i guess rila is open which gives you 2 decent but shortish runs to come down!!
Yastrebets are 2 long runs with a pub at the end!!
