re: Baby and Skiing?

Hi Top Cat
Have been skiing with my 2 now (7 & 9) and only missed 2 years due to jobs and money. Safely say if you do not have a family member in tow. The Child care is the most important thing! If you worry on the slopes then, both Mum & Dad will not enjoy that time you do have. We always phoned up the child care before to talk to them. If they could not speak much English this is not a problem with very young children but 3 to 5 its not much fun for them but you have a few years yet! ...

If they could not speak much English this is not a problem with very young children but 3 to 5 its not much fun for them but you have a few years yet! As much as I hate to admit it I took a family member (Mum) but felt guilty about leaving her in bars all the time or just in the hotel. So find out whats about and organise some time for them to enjoy.
I personaly found harder work with family help, because of the guilt trip. Better find a good child care if it is the same hotel even better. but before you know it you will be skiing with that little monkey and it makes it all worth while. Last year in Pamps my son & Daughter (then 6&Cool skied their 1st Red run. I got a bigger buzz than them. Good luck what ever you do.
Regards
Ian

re: Baby and Skiing?

Thanks again for the responses, its much appreciated. The wife might disagree.... Smile

It's certainly something I'm going to look into, I will just need to find somewhere for Grandma and daughter to relax in the day.

If not, I might just have to go missing for a week, i'm sure the family won't mind.

re: Baby and Skiing?

Hi ya - if you need any info on hotels etc that may be suitable, send me an email and I will happily help... I would suggest Yanakiev, Iceberg, Lodge for what you are looking for... You may get a cheaper deal at Yanakiev than the others but it depends on dates!

Stay with the little in the morning if going Borovets...

Get the half day pass and skii all afternoon. Most likely baby will be asleep after hectic morning spent with mum ndad tiring them out.

Boro because half day pass is half price and it starts at 12 not later so get more skiing time. Kas will help you out if she can look for what you need. Also nearer to airport so after long journey over here not too far to travel once landed.

Gma will enjoy spending time with little one and getting hol also but remember to treat her whilst you are with little one... perhaps a nice spa morning etc etc

Works for so many people taking mums gma along Razz
