I agree with Matt, how often would pete use bulgarian in all reality, two maybe three weeks a year at the most. this rep works for around 16 weeks in the winter season with English tourists and possible does the summer season on the coast, In any other country they would have to speak the language of the people they are looking after. What if there was an emergency how would they deal with it?

re: Balkan Holidays Rep

the Bulgarian coach driver should speak English !!!

God I wish I could find the post I wrote and the roasting I got off Pete after I suggested that a certain Pamporovo hotel should serve food for the english guests taste rather than the slop they dumped on us..

When in Rome Pete !!!! ( take your luggage with you)

re: Balkan Holidays Rep

I said NOTHING about the coach driver in any of my posts. It was the REP that could not speak English!

Of course as I said before it was our fault - Angie thought I'd put them on the coach - I thought she had.

A genuine mistake that can happen sometimes but they dealt with it very poorly in my opinion when they KNEW somebody had left a bag behind!

Cool

We were in the airport for an extra 30mins, I went to wait for my boots to come off once they arrived I then waited for our small case, after 30 mins took the boots to my hubby and told him the small case still hadnt arrived at which point he pointed to it on the trolley. It happens maybe a key to learn from this is communication between ourselves Wink

re: Balkan Holidays Rep

to be fair pete, he did ask whether you had your boots..and your response was yes, i have my own boots.. why didnt you ask him why he was asking? maybe he would have explained in his broken english that someone of the same name had left a pair in the airport..maybe when you said you had your boots he thought the airport had just made a mistake...maybe he thought that anyone coming off a plane with only 3 or 4 pieces of luggage wouldnt be daft enough to leave one behind...
