re: Balkan Holidays Rep

to be fair pete, he did ask whether you had your boots..and your response was yes, i have my own boots.. why didnt you ask him why he was asking?

Because he knows neither Bulgaria nor Bulgarians, anyone with experience would have asked the Rep why he was asking. Bulgarians don't volunteer information, you have to drag it out of them.

This thread is hilarious. Mr PP is always right,or so he thinks. Nice to see so many sensible replies to his ridiculous complaint. When in Rome, comes to mind. Just waiting for the fund to open for donations to his 'save the dog' fund. So many hints for donations over the years, maybe to pay for for Mexico this year.

Maybe I am wrong Pete and feel free to correct me, but as far as I know, Balkan dont have Reps on the buses.

You would have been met by the Reps at the airport and then put onto a coach with guide provided by the coach company who was probably the person who enquired about your boots.

When you arrived in the resort, the reps would have taken over then and are the ones who are responsible for you whilst in the resort.

When you arrived in the resort, the reps would have taken over then and are the ones who are responsible for you whilst in the resort.

Also, it is not the fault of Balkan if Sofia Airport wanted the baggage tags to confirm ownership and the bag was in fact yours.
In addiditon to this, the staff at the airport could have been in a lot of trouble for giving a bag to a person who is not the owner, and what if the bag was damaged when it arrived to you? A PIR cannot be obtained once the bag has left the airport and if collected by someone other than the owner how would they have known if they bag had been damaged in transit if they did not know what it looked like in the first place.

Instead of passing the blame to Balkan and the Guide from the transport company, it is after all your own responsibilty to collect all of your luggage.

Just out of curiosity, how did you get the bag back? With or without assistance?

The above has made my morning, to find the thread still going strong, keep up the good works snow bunnies.

We are constantly told not to leave are bags unaccompanied, so all you lucky people heading to the snow, remember look after the 2 to 3 bags you will have about your person. Very Happy

Controlled explosion of PP's boots at Bulgarian airport !!!
PP blames Balkan Rep
Ambassador for Bulgaria, Pamporovo Pete, has his wife's boots blown up in Bulgariain airport because Balkan rep refuses to explain himself clearly.
Pete turns his back on Bulgaria, as for once, they have let him down. PP also returns 2 dogs, fully fed.
That's one of the worst gripes I've seen on this site.
Pete, be very careful what you say on other peoples gripes in future, ...
