MAYBE THEY WILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU MORE IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING AND READY TO PAY ANYTHING.IF YOU KNOW THE PRICE THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL PAY-THE FACE VALUE OF THE TICKET.
Andy you can be married to ski instructor in Pamp.good on you.I am one and not married to one.
And for the menu lists-they can be corrected at any time.laminate one page and give it to the punters/guests .most of the restaurants have a menu in bulgarian and english on the same pages or the dish is one price but 2 translations.is you get a menu with only one language -you are looking for a rip off.
andy
when tasseva ski in her day off as a ski instructor and a member in the resort she pays less of course than you-- the tourist-everywhere is the same.
seasonal passes are cheaper for locals ,workers, staff, regulars etc. plus there are all sort of discounts for this and that.it is the same if you work for M&S of BA here and buying some rubbush or tickets
well well, firstly im a bit surprised at Mikey, your wifes a ski instructor but has to pay on her day off??? she obviously doesnt work for a ski school then or she would have a season pass!
Let me set this straight, there is no clear answer the LAW states that you cant opperate a two tier system, thats EU law not just BG law, and anyone found braking this is liable to a heavy fine (i would draw your attention to other law ignorers ie some builders who are now finding themselves in deep ...

As for regular users getting it cheaper, duhh if i go to say my gym daily will cost me more than monthly. I am getting a season pass this year and it will cost the same as about 4-5 weeks use so you could say im a regular user and gettin a discount. Another point i would like to clear up, PLEASE PLEASE do not confuse the prices the tour operators list as the actual lift pass, i know this is like teaching granny to suck eggs but some people believe anything, i expect you believe these money back offers on phones as well. They are subsidised prices as they operators make a lot out of their packs by booking THOUSANDS well in advance, unless you are one of the @Big Boys' you havent a prayer of getting prices like that.
So to sum up, 99 per cent of holiday makers will pay the full and proper price, a few may get a few bob off, but when you work it out over six days its penuts.
As for restaurants, here we go, a two tier pricing exisits 'legally' as there are two distinct seasons, ie winter and summer. summer touists will not pay winter prices. most of the tourists are Bulgarian in the summer (although thats changing) therefore the menus are in Bulgarian, and some forgetful restaurant owners dont change these for the winter, and its only a few, primarily the OWNERS not restaurants that are rented for the season.
Dave Canski tried to buy a discounted pass earlier this year Pete, he is after all a regular user. No joy! Bulgarians only.
I think they want to see your ID card or residency permit?
Its common across most countries in the Alps as well so I wouldn't get to worked up about. As for EU rules what a load of tosh.
My wifes local dairy in the highlands charges tourists more than local.
It happens in every country, your a fool if you try and deny it.
There is a two tier pricing which works on the basis that if you are a 'regular user' you get the price lower - basically your name has to be in the computer as having bought a ticket before. When you buy a ticket of more than a day you need to get a digital photo taken and your details added. Unfortunately, the people in the booth will write your name down phonetically and so the spelling might be shot. The secret is to keep one of your lift passes from last year and hand it over when ...

It can save you 20-odd percent.
i am not sure about the regular user, but i live here and buy the season ticket, my bulgarian friend pays exactly the same as me, we buy in december , then it is discounted. was just over 1000 leva last year, about 350 pounds for the year
