Bansko - A building site?

Was at the Strazhite from the 23th - 30th & although there is a lot of building work going on in Bansko you never here anything of it in the hotel & only occassionally are there vehicles running up & down the streetTo be honest you don't notice it from the fantastic slopes on offer
Am going back next year but later in the season & for two weeks this time

I am going back to Bansko in March - returning to the Hotel Perun as I enjoyed it so much there before. Yes building works going on but Bansko is a super resort and the building does not affect your enjoyment of the town or the skiing!I love it there and can't wait to go back

Yes, I really enjoyed it in March '05 so have booked a return holiday this season. It was pretty well brand new when I went before but I hope it has maintained its standards. I really enjoyed it there and tended to make good use of the leisure facilities there - spent a good few hours in the swimming pools etc - really, really nice. Looking forward to it being as good (hopefully) this year! Was of course, also blessed with outstanding snow conditions when there before so am ...

I have not been able to post back to you yet on the other side as to your recent trip to Bansko. Sounds like you have a good time. I got the impression the 'ski road' was not in such good condition though when I read the bit about someone having to "cross the river twice" - WHAT!!! Definitely did not do that when I was there!
