Does anyone know what the queues for the gondla have been like for the last 2 days then? looking at the livestream broadcasts queues are pretty much like they were this time last year a nightmare!!

food in Bansko is very good,you just need to know where to go...some of the traditional mehanas are excellent for Bulgarian style food...try slow cooked shoulder of lamb at the Bariakova(has to be about 7 or 8 of you for this) or the pork knuckle at the Zehntinjieva mehana
also good are the Saches which most mehanas do whether you want a meat sache or veggie one
if you want to try cheap basic street food many takeaways on Naiden Gerov street and there is also a small cafe restaurant ...
