Just checked banskoski.com, showing all pistes open, but again only lifts up after the gondola seem to be the stara pista 4 seater and the shilli-plato 4 seater, is it windy again? the drags on runs 8 and 7 look to be open. anyone in resort know the reason, seems that the lifts have had problems being able to open for some time, did they open yesterday as the website seemed to indicate last night.8 days to go, get them lifts open please.

Is it the norm for the lifts in bansko to be closed like this? - based on previous seasons that is. We are a group with no patience heading out on the 28th for the 1st time lol don't like ques.

Slalom is on the previous week.If you are 1st timers at skiing, ques for lifts or piste closures wont affect you. The beginners area is at the top of the gondola which is open almost 100% of the time.

Hello Mary, if you have skied once before you will enjoy Bansko. The Ski road home will keep the lot of you entertained. Its a 7KM ski back into town. No major slopes, one or two tricky spots for beginners, but still a nice pleasant ride home.
When skiing home, try and stick together as a group as you reach the end, as there are always photographers taking photos of people skiing by, which you can purchase at the gondola station next day!!!!

Crowds now starting to clear Bansko, still got the Serbian holiday weekend to come but after that its plain sailing...
The Europa cup event will not interfere to much anyway, forecasts showing falling temps, mild at moment but still well below freezing on top. Snow predicted middle of next week, how heavy ?? we don't know but hopeful of a decent dump...
