Hi, we just got back from bansko last night. I just want to warn anyone going out soon that the cheapest transfer option isn't the best. We booked through a company that acts as a booking agent - I am not sure if the rules of the forum allow me to post the name. Anyway the driver was half and hour late picking us up and he didn't put my suitcase in the boot with the rest, he instead reversed over the top of it and continued to drive on he wouldn't stop as he was running late and insisted ...

Anyway the driver was half and hour late picking us up and he didn't put my suitcase in the boot with the rest, he instead reversed over the top of it and continued to drive on he wouldn't stop as he was running late and insisted that he had all the suitcases in the boot. At the time we didn't know it was mine or infact belonged to anyone on the bus as the driver said it was just rubbish that had been lying on the road when he got there, we didn't discover the truth until we arrived at sofia airport. Pretty foolish of us really too but we still can't understand why the suitcase wasn't put in along with the rest. The driver lost his ability to speak english when we discovered the case missing at the airport and drove off. So im pretty gutted to say the least. If anyone finds a suitcase lying outside Alex2 Apartments let me know
Suppose it was better returning than going out but I'm sure that's little consolation to you.
We were returning to Plovdiv once by bus and the driver had not secured the luggage doors. We rounded one corner and the door flew open and bags were strewn all over the road and in the hedges. Took about an hour to sort it all out.
Hope you didn't lose anything too valuable and were able to claim of your travel insurance. Now I'm sure you had a Rolex in there ...
Mary that sounds shocking

Thanks for that Bobe, just trying to avoid the 'Mary' experience.
Sorry to hear of your troubles Mary, but as PP said, better on the way home than on the way there. Not much consolation I know, but I had the same experience in Italy, and my insurance paid in full - no Rolex though, left it at home with the Cartier!

Galina. RentACarBulgaria is for hiring a car, not for transfers! Aside from that, I have used them in the past to hire a car and have been very satisfied with them.
