I booked the week begining 6th of March whilst I was at work yesterday. It looks from the Balkan Ski brochure that they are starting flights from Birmingham next year, which is only 5 miles up the road from us and so a lot more convenient. We fancy trying the Kempinski Grand Arena. Like the idea of skiing right up to the hotel door, providing ther is enough snow on Bansko Road of course!re: Bansko Webcams

Kim and I were out there the same time this year. We saw them quite a few times in Hotel on the bus etc. but Kim had her eyes on Cameron so I dont think she noticed us. As we were old beginers we were keeping a low profile!re: Bansko Webcams

I noticed this post by Val which was correct at the time of posting, since then there has been a total cessation of development in the ski area in Bansko. The noted two additional pistes will be constructed, the planned 35km has been declined for the foreseeable future, the developers are now being taken to court by an enviromentalist group for destruction of natural habitat. What effect on the overall construction will have to be noted, basically we will have to wait and see ...

I seem to remember that it was Tangette who sent me the news items, it may have been Reuters or the like, i can`t find the original post but i am sure it was as i described...

Thanks Steve.May be a later edition of holiday brochures may show proposed runs.
Or may be we find out when we get there next year.
