re: Bansko compared to Borovets

Hey Aimee, I am going with a party of 19 on the 23rd and also staying in the Perun. Think the hotel will be excellent after doing a lot of research. Been to Pamps last 3 years but after snow worries last year ( we were very lucky) decided to give Bansko a try. looks like a wise move. Got a lot of excited people here. We are going with Nielsen.

No problems with Perun, have stayed there twice myself..
Might even have the outdoor pool open, it was 80 degrees one year, and surrounded by snow, fantastic after a hard day/night Booze

O, by the way, its snowing Razz

Hey Phil (PSP),

I am now in deed going with an open mind! There are mixed reviews but most are good so I am fine now! Was just getting a little worried about the snow conditions!

Really hope the weather is good in UK so we can fly out!
When we went to Boro on 3rd Jan 2009 we were 28 hours delayed due to too much snow at Sofia Airport...really dont want the same thing this side this year!!

I cant wait, really wanted to go to a different resort.

Richardg,
My party of 8 are going ...

re: Bansko compared to Borovets

Only been to Bansko & I have Vested interest.

However that said I have bought there and always intended on buying for the very long term i.e. when we have kids it will be a cheap place to go i.e. just flight cost accomodation free.
Plus skiing in France/Italy/Canada are a lot more add in food drink etc.

I like it enjoy the meaty main meals with really nice starters (rarely have room for desert).
