Accept what you are saying CH, but i can only comment on what i know... The Friendly has indicated that it may ?? raise its prices for the Christmas period by 20%, but this is being done by not offering the 20% discount available anyway... The ex-pat businesses are definately not raising their prices to my knowledge. If you were just to consider the costs involved in re-printing menus etc ??? Im not saying it will not happen, as experiences in the past begger belief
Steve C, I have no doubt you are being sincere in pointing out current prices, but this repricing occurs in all destinations worldwide. As I said above it is simple economics.
BTW....Its easy to put little labels over older/cheaper prices!!!! Most menu's are laminated allowing this to be done quiet easily!!!!

The economics in these cases did not hold up... If bars/restaurants raise their prices part way through a season then it is accepted very badly and reflects on the integrity of the owners or management. We are under no obligation to frequent these premises, and within our rights to make all very aware of the situation. If it is your opinion that all businesses do this then perhaps we need a glimmer to reinstall your faith... As i noted, time will tell Re, the labels.... i'm sorry, this even reinforces the opportunity to highlight price hiking... peel em off !!!!!
I always tend to order a drink then lookat the menu (if hungry) check th prices and if not happy with the price - or the selection - I finish my drink and go somewhere else.
Or if ever I did feel that I had been taken advantage of trust me my future trade would be lost.
