re: Bansko or Borovets?

I have only been to Borovets (30th Jan 2010) and the snow was OK. Most slope open but not as much now... Still quite Agee though, enough runs open then. I stayed in the Rila as well got flights, Transfer, ski lift pass, board/skiing hire and tuition all for £500 through First Choice... This was a package called 'Winter Saver'...

The Snow at Bansko is a lot better and as far as I know all the runs are open.. The only problem is there are large queue for the one gondola tht takes you to ...

Hope this helps...

re: Bansko or Borovets?

I am in Borovets right now and had my first day of skiing yesterday. Snow conditions are awesome, there was a big dump Saturday just before we arrived and it was clear sky skiing all day yesterday. We have had quite a bit of snow overnight, and it is still snowing right now.

There was a large queue for the equipment yesterday, but queues for the lifts are not a problem at all at the moment.

If you are having trouble booking all inclusive packages through a travel agency, bare in mind that they only deal with certain flights and certain flight times. I am confident that if you searched something like ryanair from Bristol to Sofia around the time you want to go you will find a flight. You can then book everything else through a travel agency if you like.

We got a package for 550 all inclusive, but considered doing it seperately for a while before we found a package that suited.

Good luck!
