Bansko queries

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help.
I am going to Bansko next week with my husband and 2 children (10 & Cool. We have booked our own flights and apartment. We need to hire all equipment, buy lift passes and have ski lessons. Is it ok (and best) to book these in Bansko, if so, where? I've tried a few internet sites but they won't let me book anything because we didn't book the holiday with them.

My husband and children are beginners and only want 2 hours lessons per day. The children have also said that they want ski lessons with us. Any ideas on what we should do?

Also, I've heard mixed things about credit cards. Will we be able to pay for things e.g lift passes on credit card?

www.methodsnowschool.com might be able to help you - had thought they were snowboard only but seen they do ski stuff too.

re: Bansko queries

we have done the same as you and booked hire and ski lessons through methodsnow school.com phone
00359878622404 and speak to Ash the owner, very helpful guy. We have arranged private lessons for 2 of us for 2 hours a day for £295 with him. (ski hire extra)
You have to get the lift passes yourselves when you get there. Which appartments are you staying at?
We are going to Cedar lodge on 11th

£ 295 he seen you coming Very Happy

Two ski packs would have cost that and would have included ski hire, lift passes and 4 hours daily of tuition.

Did the same as you last year, and our hotel arranged the ski pack for us. Try e-mailing your hotel to see if they can do the same. Otherwise try the intersport shop on the main street just across the road from the gondola. We hired our equipment from them and other people booked lessons. With regards to lift passes you can use your card and if you have a Nationwide card its even better cos they don't charge the 2.75% exchange commission. Be prepared to queue for your pass and if you get ...
