Had some private snowboard lessons with method snowschool in Bansko a couple of weeks ago....might be more expensive than other local tuition but can't recommend it highly enough, they're a UK team with loads of coaching experience and qualifications, definitely worth the extra. They do do skiing as well as boarding.
I have always used a company called Bansko sports who are on the right as you head up towards the gondola. service was excellent and very friendly.Only ever booked when we got out there.Havent been to bansko this year yet will be there on 22nd so dont have this years prices. last year there were 4 of us. We each paid €120 for equipment hire and lessons at 4 hrs / day for 6 days. I thought this price was excellent as there were only 4 of us in the group. It sure as hell beat some of the other ...

11 of us willo be there from the 25th! 7 complete beginers. 2 went last year and found a private tutor called konstantine booked thru hotel that was awesome, arranged not only tuition but dinners and beers too! thinking we'll do the same this year but we lost his contact number grr
