re: Bansko snow forecast...

Hi Lis

We stayed at the Lion and it is very nice - The bar staff are lovely Food in restaurant is a bit iffy but you can mostly find something you like - One thing - They don't appear to "do" butter! - There butter portions were like creamy oil - At first we thought this was just because it had been allowed to get too warm - But they actually got some out the fridge for us and is was still runny - We all decided that it gave us slightly dodgy tums so avoided it for the rest of the week ...

re: Bansko snow forecast...

pool area is very nice - The Jacuzzi is the same temp as the pool which was a shame but still good for those tired muscles - The Gym is really a couple of machines but I am sure they are very good - I was too kn-ckered to even consider that after a day on the piste! The steam room & sauna were good and they had an ice cold plunge pool - Not for the faint hearted! Not many shops and all selling fake handbags/jeans/ski wear etc - But worth a nosy

re: Bansko snow forecast...

I stayed in the Lion at Christmas, most hotel pools in Bulgaria are luke warm, but the Perun outdoor pool was very hot apparently, I did go in the bar area and it looks nice, there is also a plunge pool.

Loved the Lion but fancied trying the Perun this time, going with Thomson.
