Hello all - new to this so be gentle with me....we have bought a ski studio in the monastry in Bansko and are due to go out at end of this month to complete etc So, just interested in any tips, info re Bansko really. Good places to eat/drink. Got me 3 daughters with me and my gorgeous wifey so won't be tearing the place up nightlife wise but a pub with sky sports would be useful.......!cheers

Lucky you! the Lion Bar across the road from the Strazhite Hotel has Sky sports.

Lions pub is expensive for drinks so if you can tear yourself away from Sky Sports I would recommend Kafe Parfe in the road past the church up from the square. Also all the mechanas are lovely for eating out.re: Bansko
thanks for replies. I am getting v excited about going - just hope there's a bit of snow left for me to fall over on. Will be letting out this apartment at reasonable mate's rates aswell if anyone might be interested.....will post it on this site. Hi Neal,May well be interested in your apartment for next year. Where exactly is it in relation to the square and the gondola? My husband and I are fully house trained and non smokers.

..... that was my next question. We're actually going this weekend to see what's available to buy (but also to see what the slopes have to offer!) so looking forward to it - although my hubby is a bit dubious seeing as he is a Snowboard Instructor and used to tougher terrain - but suits me fine!re: Bansko
Hi again - this could get addictive! mmmm yes foolish as it sounds we did indeed buy without looking first and are going at end of this month to complete. I hope thats a reflection of the prices rather than my sanity but you've got me thinking now...! Anyway yes you would all be more than welcome. I will try and take some photos when I go out there and post them here if I can or if not mail them privately if you would like to receive. The apartments are opposite the Tanne hotel and I am told ...

We will only use it during the Feb half-term week so it will be free at other times.
