Going to pamporova on the 22nd for my 1st time skiing.whats the chances after having 1 weeks instruction of being able to do the wall? Ive got a £50 bet that ill do it- or should i just pay up and live?????????
For those who don't know, the wall is a black run.
It is steep but quite wide.
The 1st time you go to the edge and look down from the top. The question that comes to mind is "if I fall on this where will I stop", I know I have.
After 1 week it is possible to ski it if your turn technique and your nerve is good enough and most impotant of all if your instructor feels that you should try it, if he says no then pay up.

I have been three years running and never got to do the wall - but never wanted to either. There were 2 South African guys with us last year - never put on a pair of skis before and he did the wall by the time he left. He was the outdoor type though. Very fit and went off climbing mountains and things at weekends.

If you start the week in a group with an instructor though, there is no chance the group will progress to that by the end of the week. If you do a blue run you will be doing well.

they show more than the official site and i think we will have a brilliant time if there is as much snow as that.
