I went to kaprun when i was three, if there is snow in the town two blues a right next to it and might be good. if there is no snow in the town, you can get onto the Kitzsteinhorn glacier easily, though involves a bus ride to the base lifts. the Glacier has loads of blues, and a few reds if you think you can take them on.
For guaranteed snow, head up to the Hitertux Glacier. Easily reached by ski bus from Mayrhofen although you may need to change. In winter it is possible to ski down into the valley and some class apres ski.

The glacier offers some great summer skiing, although you won't get the same apres ski experience.
Several decent hotels at the base of the glacier. Rindererhof for one, is awesome. Some of the best service and food in the valley and open all year.
In short, of my knowledge of the Valley from the glacier down to Mayrhofen, you wouldn't be disappointed.
It has to be niederau/auffach small resort with great irish bar and "dorf dancing bar".
