Hey,thinking of going to Bulgaria for a short holiday and want to know where the best ski towns are ! not sure whether I want quite or the most popular one
...anyone have advise ??re: Best Ski area ????
We went to Bansko this year for the first time and loved it. It is a fantastic ski area with a good selection of runs and quite high. The snow conditions were superb. Bansko is a real town not a man made resort and has an excellent choice of restaurants and bars. It is also very cheap.Many people on this board will favour Borovets or Pamporovo but for me its Bansko and I can't wait to go back.

Problem here is Charlie we all have our favourite resorts so Like me I will shout Pamporovo great little resort and good nightlife very good if you are low level intermmediate's or beginers. Bansko is much larger and has a town wich Pamps does not and has a longer season. Whatever resort you choose you ar bound to have a great time.re: Best Ski area ????

Hi Val I am off this Saturday Busy sorting stuff out, should really be ironing now but cant be arsed!!!! I will be in for it when she who must be obeyed comes home from work

Thoroughly agree with Val and Kim that Bansko is a great place for a skiing holiday being a proper town as opposed to a purpose built resort.You must bear in mind though that Bulgaria is Eastern Europe not Western. Bulgaria is a stil a developing country where the average wage is aproximatley £2000 per YEAR.
