We're be in Borovec on the 3rd as well, might see you in the Camakov bar at some point. If you get a choice, try and get Bobi Iliev at the Camakov as your instructor.

re: Boarding advice

www.ski-injury.com is a great site for both ski and board related info. The doc who runs it also answers questions on www.face-plant.co.uk intermittently - he really knows his stuff.

re: Boarding advice

Did my medial last year playing rugby before going to Boro. Have always skiied previously but had booked boarding. Found it to be a lot lest testing on my knees and the only real problem I had was putting my boots in the bindings the first couple of time as it seemed to put my knee in an strange position. After an adjustment to bindings no problems. Think I relaxed as the week went on and this really helped. Have a great time.

re: Boarding advice

If you can get them impact shorts, wrist guards and kneepads make a big differance to your enjoyment levels. You spend a good amount of yourtime on your knees so I'd recommend a kneepad even for your good knee, just stops them getting bruised. I couldn't afford to shell out for impact shorts so I used to stuff a jumper in my trousers to cushion my bum!! Maybe you won't fall over quite as much as I did but the first few days can be painful.
