The Titanic bar at the top end of Boro normally has sports on the TV, I am sure Nik will have no problem putting the Rugby on, if you all turn up in your Rugby tops and drink lots of beer whilst the game is on!
Have just returned from Boro - don't know about there being 1m of snow - snow was very thin in areas - some grass and rocks coming through both on lower slopes and at top of gondola.
Icy winds at top of gondola blew all soft snow off slopes so they were solid ice - may have thawed a little since.
In our first week there the weather was warm and the snow on some on the slopes was going slushy and then freezing overnight and the streets were lethal in the mornings!!

That said we did manage to ski everyday for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves but I would be wary of the reports which say there is 110cm snow cover. Cos there's not
