It is not a talk it is an article in tourist website trying to fill some pages.
Truth is that the season was one of the best for 30-40 years regarding the snow cover.even last weekend there were people going up the gondola with skis and coming back saying the snow was not bad at all.
Saw few cars with ski roof racks on the way back to Sofia-a sign that there is stil life up the highest slopes in BG as oppose the other mountains in BG which are prefering to do some savings .
As for the investments in Borovets,the news is that there is no new news.
A little bit of this and that in a form of few more snow guns .Mainly in the Markidjik ski area (not in the area with Cherveno Zname -wall) as listed in this article. The rest is wishful thinking-very difficult politics in Boro .

New lift from top of sitniakovo towards Chakar Voivoda Hut and beyond up that area which is without the jingo pine trees so above the tree line will be easier for skiing.
-snow making in the rest of the lower end ski runs
-new gondola-gosh that's the most unrealistic one so far.
Etc etc
Non of them on the table and far away from realisation.
I geniunly believe that the owners in Boro are quite happy with the current status quo and don't want to do anything.
Otherwise the summer will be busy as usual with mountain bikes,mountain walks amongst the best mountain in Bulgaria with most rivers and lakes .
As always Rila mountain will be Very popular with Sofians (fresher,greener,bigger.the alpine climbing capital in BG,the hottest mineral spa in South East Europe, with the biggest lake there is in BG,the most important monastery in the region,fuller rivers , etc etc.)
And not over developed on the approaches which adds to the pleasures in the summer months not like some other heavy duty resorts which have lost touch with nature.
One season to remember was the last winter (simply a gift from nature)
How often can one gets lucky?

If you want realibility look further than the moderators moderation with their idea of making sure tourists empty pockets in the right places only where there is a direct-link interest.Fact .

As for the future of Borovets. I think we can be quite relaxed.
When a ski place has the best location in the region,
the highest mountain to show,
and it is not overbuild to stain the whole area, there is deFfinitely some future in there.
Most important for Boro is to get into few things which can improve the whole experience:
1. Keep the good work of widening Mussala path and making sure that perfect ski road is snowsure with snow guns.(Mussala pathway is a proper ski road not like the Bansko ski road which is pain in the b.)
2.Securing the Avalange area on Drag 3 and beyond towards Mussala Hut so to open that area with minimum efford.
3. Plan and build connection from top of Yastrebets Express lift to Markudjik ski area so there can be Plan B for reaching that perfect ski area
4.Place snow guns in Markudjik area to make sure early season cover which then will last the whole season with minimal efford!
5.Improve the center with better parking so Sofians can leave the cars in piece.
6.Supply free bus to Yastrebets Express lift to justify the expensive lift pass and to offload the peak times crowds.
7.Improve the snow park. Make it free access and include the future drag FOC like everywhere in the world.
And last but not least:
8.Get rid of the contact-lift-pass which is outdated and make it remote so skiers can enjoy going though the gates-who was the stupid person making them on half of them on the right hand side to enter the lift pass and the other half on the left.how stupid that is?
